Standing in a salmon river, it’s hard to imagine a world without wild salmon.

Yet the numbers tell a different story.

Farmed salmon production continues to grow year after year, while wild salmon populations struggle in many parts of the world.

Wild salmon deserve more than our admiration—they deserve our protection.

No wild salmon. No salmon rivers. No fishing stories.

Let’s make sure that never happens.

So lets fish them to extinction instead? Pretty much everyone agrees the stock collapse was from commercial/sport fishing and habitat destruction that was occurring long before salmon farming. I bet you are funded by commercial/sport fishing interests with this utter distortion of information. Killing adult salmon on the way to spawn has to be the most destructive activity... these adults have survived the challenging ocean conditions and have the best genes for the next generation... but ya, lets kill them right before they spawn. Even catch & release has crazy high morality rate. End fishing if you care about salmon.

Rubbish

If fish farms weren’t here. You all surely would’ve wiped out all wild salmon. No proven science gives you a smoking gun on our industry. Mismanagement and over fishing killed off wild salmon.

Farmed Salmon is not just harming wild Salmon, its also affecting Seatrout and many other species of fish, Stop the Farms, Save the Salmon and Seatrout.

Wild salmon has been struggling for decades

The real cause of the wild salmon collapse wp.me/p3kcsV-6j5

Scotland alone holds over 200 salmon farms, owned by 5 companies. Those 5 companies alone holds upto 2400 pens (cages) then these 2400 pens hold upto 50 million salmon. So if there is say 50 million sick diseased fish, lice infested, toxic chemicals, at most of the choke points where wild salmon enter in scotland, but tgis is not just salmon but sea trout to. People actually believe that this impact on wild fish dose not come from salmon farms? The world has officially lost its mind. There is upto 50 million farmed salmon, just in scotland alone, but the estimated wild population is only 300,000 or 400,000 and last years 2025 rod caught salmon was only 28,020. And out of those 28,020 say 95% where released back again. But yet each year the numbers continue to drop? How can numbers drop if fish are returned back to the water and yet every year the salmon farms expand. Is the math not working for people? And again this is just scotland the world's 3rd largest producers of farmed salmon on the market that gets sold world wide but yet our wild populations continue to decline. But these 5 companies produce upto 50 million???? Toxic ridden farms that spread disease throughout the wild populations of salmon and sea trout we watch the decline as fisherman but apparently we are the only ones who see it. When will the world wake up and stop farming salmon and let our wild populations take back control and rivers fill back up with salmon 🤔

Fantastic day on the Grand Cascapedia with perfect water conditions and stunning pools. No fish to be seen today, but having the opportunity to fish one of the world’s most historic and legendary salmon rivers is something truly special.
